We got two different kinds of pizza, service was fast and friendly. The pizzas were so delicious and light. The crust was bubbly and yeasty, the sauce was just tomato sauce and there was the perfect amount on the pizza, the toppings were delicious. I’ll definitely be back here to try a panini and more pizza!
We enjoyed two pizzas here. The Alessandro and the Bianca. Crust is very good. All was enjoyable, though a bit expensive. Large seating area.
Lots of friends rave about this place but I haven’t been impressed. The food quality is good but the portions are small. I would like more toppings on the pizza. The crust is tough and too chewy for me. If you don’t like smokey tasting pizza don’t order their pizza because it always tastes very smokey – it’s wood-fired pizza so if you expect that I don’t think you’d be disappointed. The baking is decent but I don’t find the drinks match it. Overall for what I paid for I think this place is expensive. The staff is very helpful and friendly though which is why I gave it 3.5 instead of 3.I’m downgrading this review to 3 because the last 4 times I’ve gone in the staff has been very abrupt which I find off putting especially when it isn’t busy.
Christie’s is a great restaurant and bakery. I’ve never ordered a pizza I didn’t like. I recently branched out and tried a panini and I really enjoyed that as well. The food also comes out quickly! They used to be opened very limited hours, but they recently changed that. I like the change very much, I will come here more often because of it.
Finally went today for lunch. Great panini, and the carrot-orange-ginger soup is something I am going to try and recreate. Wonderful flavours.
Only thing keeping this from being 5* is the hours. Pizza is spectacular, being wood fired the crust is so fluffy and moist. My mouth is watering right now thinking of it. Why are you not open *shakes fist disapprovingly at sky*
Just okay. Tried the banh mi sandwich but there wasn’t much meat to enjoy. The pizza was a bit burnt on the outside but the center was soggy from the sauce. Didn’t really get what I expected for the price. I’m used to banh mi’s that have a decent amount of meat and I like my pizza crust to be crispy. Probably won’t return for these two items. Will try the chain restaurant in Lawson’s Heights to see if the pizza is better. However, the pastries looked good and I liked the ambiance.
