I love this cute coffee shop. I’ve only ate a breakfast sandwich but I would love to try some lunch options. Cakes also look really good. My favourite drink is the root beer tea latte. Only complaint is I feel like they could make drinks a bit hotter.
Excellent coffee & espressoVery friendly staffGreat atmosphere favourite place to studyPerfect patio for a sunny dayI’ve had more great experiences at city perks than I can count. If you’re looking for a place to grab a coffee, meet up with a friend or date, or get some work done in Saskatoon this is it.
The desserts and coffee at City Perks are amazing! However the food can be hit and miss. I love the decor and cozy feeling in the restaurant. The prices are on the expensive side though, my cheesecake slice was $10. All in all this is a great place to meet a friend for a coffee date!
I have the pleasure of working at Ens Toyota where we share the location with Uptown City Perks; which is City Perks second location. I can guarantee the best breakfast, be it the breakfast sandwiches, oatmeal, or the cheese and bacon scones. The lunches always offer the freshest salad, and if you can always take the soup! For desserts I simply can’t say no to the cinnamon buns and cappuccino cheesecake. It’s all really lovely and the staff are always kind and talented. Thank-you.
26th February, 2016I went to sit down to study for a coming midterm, it was a long sitting so I get to try a couple thing today. Today, their dessert display is full, I have such a hard time picking what I want. I still end up getting the cream Burlee, it was just way too good to resist. I probably will order another cake to take out when I am leaving. I have order a mocha today. It was smooth and good. I also order the iron goddess oolong tea, it was not a very strong tea. I personally like stronger tea, this taste kinda like water with good aroma. The quiche with crust that was right out of the oven look so good, it was really light and fluffy. It have some sun dried tomatoes that have a hints of sourness. It was just enough to stimulate my appetite. The crust is not very crisp but not soggy. It was good but not my favourite food. They do change the dessert variety. I don’t know how often, but three times I were here. They have different dessert in their display. I did get a the pumpkin bourbon cheesecake to take out! Man! Am I ever glad that I did! Because it was probably the best cheesecake I have had in my life! The whip cream on the top is so rich and thick! The cream cheese icing on it, just have that hints of cream cheese flavour. It was very light and was so soft and smooth that it was just a tad bit harder than whip cream. The cream cheese flavour was there but not strong enough to overpower the delicious cheese cake itself and it was not overly sweet like most other icing. The pumpkin cheesecake part, the flavour of pumpkin was just to the point of perfection, rich enough for cheesecake! The cake was so moist, so fluffy yet so incredible light and smooth. Just beautifully done! Now the best part is the crust, it was mixed with chocolate gram and ever delicious caramelized walnut in it. Yes the crust have nuts in it. It have just that that hints of saltiness which go so prefect with the cheesecake and just added a little crunch for the ever so prefect cake. This cheesecake is heavenly, each layers just compliment each other ! I can see all the care and detailed that they put in to make this cheesecake which just make it the best ever cheesecake for me!Yes, the price is $10 for one slice, I would not have it everyday but it is great as a once in a while treats for the sweet tooth! -This have become one of my favourite coffee shop to go study and do paper. It is a very busy place, but comfortable. Most of all, I love the dessert they have to offer. I had the shortbread cookie and Cream Burlee the first time I was there. The shortbread cookie is so rich in buttery flavour and it just have the perfectly crisp with it. It was absolutely delicious. Their Cream Burlee was the best I have had, rich in vanilla flavour, extremely silky and smooth. Perfectly crisp on the top. It was so delicious that I was craving for another one not long after the first visit. The second visit, sadly they were sold out of the Cream Burlee and short bread cookie. I had a piece of cake instead, the cake was just a little dry(that’s why the minus 0.5 points ) but the peanut butter icing was pretty good, you can really tasted the peanut butter in it and it went so good with the cake itself. For latte variety, they only have Vanilla and Carmel latte. Both are really good and I enjoyed them with my dessert. Overall, it is a really good place to sit down to have a coffee and definitely try some of their dessert.
This is hands down my favourite coffee shop! Their coffee and tea selection gives you many options and they are all so good that I sometimes end up getting two drinks in one sitting. They always have a huge selection of desserts to choose from ! My favourite is all of their cheesecakes, they are just too good ! Also their food menu is always fresh and has never left me disappointed. The staff/service is amazing! They are all super friendly and helpful. Even on the busy days, it’s always worth the little wait. The atmosphere is awesome. Great little place !
