Extremely disappointing experience this evening which will be our first and last one dining here. We were the only guests upon arriving, so there can be no blame put on an understaffed or overly busy kitchen. The food can best be described as greasy, bland, flavourless and under cooked. Our starters were greasy and bland, the garlic toast was extremely greasy and tasteless, the main course steaks were all cooked incorrectly and the cuts were fatty. We ordered a medium prime rib which was served under cooked, rare, fatty and tasteless. When the concerns were brought to the attention of the manager, we were offered complimentary desserts. We had to decline as we had enough disappointment for one evening. This is definitely a case where the premium price the establishment is charging does not translate to a quality and satisfying dining experience.
I like the decor and ambience of this place but the food seems to be hit or miss. Sometimes it is very good and other times mediocre and bad which given the pricing isn’t acceptable. Steak in particular seems to be either cooked perfectly or over cooked and chewy. The location makes it very useful and they seem to realize that at lunches people may be in a hurry. The service is consistently good so I wish the kitchen would do the same.

Had lunch here recently. Really nice atmosphere, very modern and crisp. Service was okay but it did take a while to get our food which may be an issue if you have limited time for lunch. Had the open face prime rib sandwich, very good. I do have a question though, a general question – what is with the trend lately of custom made ketchup? I’ve had it at three different places recently and in each case I’d prefer just ketchup.
Always a good meal and great service. Gnocchi is delicious. Would recommend this place for formal dinner (upstairs) or drinks after work with friends (lower bar)
I was very disappointed with my recent experience at this restaurant. We had a group of 8 people, which means we were paying automatic gratuity.. And we were served as such. We did not feel looked after throughout our meal by the server. More than one person wanted to order another drink and they never got the chance. One person in the group wanted a side of ketchup and asked for it at the beginning of the meal- it was never brought out. We could barely get the server’s attention for a split second. In short, the server did not take the time and care to look after us and we felt the automatic gratuity ruined our service. Besides that, the food was alright at best. The French fries were too crispy and appeared to have been re fried too many times. My steak was tough and chewy compared to last time when it was melt-in-my-mouth delicious. My friend reported that the hamburgers were good as well as the mashed potatoes. One of the girls in the group would highly recommend the asparagus starter as well. Overall, compared to the last time I was there in June I really felt this place went downhill.
Have a lovely room to book for private gatherings with a nice view. Very nice and modern. Large wine selection. Meal was great. Service was great!
