We went for a birthday super this past weekend and were pleasantly surprised. From reading these reviews we were a little unsure of how it would be. We had people who had the buffet and enjoyed it very much. There was a huge selection and delicious looking desserts. My boyfriend and I ordered off the menu and we were very pleased with our meals. I had the trout with mashed potatoes and it was good. Our server was absolutely wonderful and friendly. We had a great time and good food.
Nice view just off the river. Never used the hotel myself. The restaurant itself I would say is ‘safe’ to go to if you are scared to try anything international. Your typical western meals. Buffet selection has really gone down. But the prime rib buffet I enjoyed. If you don’t like beef the alternative is deep fried chicken. Unfortunately I’d rather have the prime rib as the crispy chicken isn’t really crispy and bland tasting. I enjoyed the potatoes/cold salad selection. The dessert selection had more in the past but still is good. I still like my soft ice cream with their available crisp desserts or pie service was OK but my server did take my plate before I was finished..possibly an accident.
SADLY DISAPPOINTED ON SECOND VISIT. Well on our first visit in August on our Anniversary, everything was pretty darn good I will admit although the salad bar was far from what one would think it should be. Yes, the pay for parking is still a pain in the butt, so it is just a live with it detail it seems, but this was a typical Friday and that is Prime Rib night and off we went, I am not a huge Prime Rib fanatic so this time I went for the chicken and it was OK to put it nicely and seeing as my lady loves Prime Rib, this time she rated it as basically Not Up To Standards. Hey that can happen everywhere, BUT we both took a Yorkshire Pudding and the best way I can describe it would be to say it was as hard as a Rock and that was after the gravy was put on it. Did I bitch, nope as bad days and good days can occur anywhere, but for a $70.00 dinner, I admit I was a bit disappointed. Of course, knowing me, we will return and give the place another chance. PS… Salad Bar was excellent this time as was the desserts.24 Aug, 2014PUZZLED BUT WE WILL RETURN. It was our anniversary so I wanted to do something a bit special and the Four Seasons seemed to be the place to go for this year. I admit the Prime Rib was as they say to die for and the service was excellent and a Thank You must go out to Vince for being so attentive while we were there. Now on the down side, and here I must agree with another reviewer, the salad bar is sadly lacking and beat in selection by about 200% or more by Bonanza and No, I have no love for Bonanaza, that is just the honest reality of the situation. Now back to Friday, it was great to be able to enjoy the meal and look over the river and talk , while the place was crowded we never felt pressured to hurry up and leave. One big complaint is that even though I am handicapped and have the thing on the mirror, I am everybody else are required to pay $2.00 an hour to park at the Park Town to go and have their dinner. Just look around and all You see is signs asking if You have Your parking ticket so You are warned to bring some extra toonies. However, the dinner is well worth it so please treat Yourself and enjoy. I know we will be going back.
Awesome!!!. Best breakfast buffet in town.fresh food, knowledgeable staff, classy decor and gorgeous view.i highly recommend it!
Very good. This place can cook a damn good steak and still manage to provide an awesome dinner and brunch buffet. View is spectacular, and the staff are knowledgeable about the menu. Go for the Steak Madagascar, strawberry chicken salad, and the prime rib buffet. Sunday brunch is extremeley busy there so go around 11:00 am, or 1:00 pm to maximize your experience and get a better table. DO try their soups of the dav, DON’T foget to leave room for dessert.
Exceeded expectations. During a very recent stay in Saskatoon had the pleasure to eat at this restaurant multiple times. Indeed the first restaurant experience was so positive it had us change our hotel and check in to Parktown hotel. Ate here four times as they simply exceeded expectations each time. Daily Lunch buffet is exceptional value and not matched anywhere in downtown. Salad options were excellent, two soups available on buffet, dessert selection good. Two warm mains per day. Perhaps limited on warm options but for 16 dollars fantastic value. Breakfast was great. Every order we had the presentation was tasteful, proportions ample, and service was friendly and attentive. It was immediately evident this establishment is trying hard to please and succeeding. The only negative I can think of is tables are going to be harder to find at this large restaurant which is packing them in.
Staff in kitchen needs revamping. Absolutely brilliant renovations, good choice on the menu; however, a couple of bullies in the kitchen. Not a great place to work.
