I ordered the thai ginger beef today. The dish had a slight ginger flavour, and a combination of sweet (from the tamarind) and spicy kick to it. I normally don’t like green peppers (except on pizza) but the mixture of bell peppers, onion, and carrots in this dish tasted great! The entire dish was delicious but the only downside was that the beef was too crispy (overcooked). But that still didn’t stop me from eating the thai ginger beef because I’m always satisfied with the extremely savoury flavours that this restaurant provides.I also had the super roll as an appetizer. The super roll is a spring roll wrapped inside a cold roll. The spring roll and the sauce made it flavourful but I’m never a fan of a roll loaded with noodles and lettuce; in this case, it was surrounding the spring roll. I love the main dishes at Keo’s but I don’t like ordering the appetizers, not because the flavour but because of the pricing. The spring rolls are so small. 2 bites and you’re done- (4) for $6. Whereas the super roll is mainly loaded with noodles and lettuce (2) for $7. I can’t justify spending my money on tiny rolls or for 2 rolls loaded with noodles. My pet peeve with how the rolls are served is that they give you a plate (for the sauce) that makes it impossible to dip your rolls in. Being in the food industry for 20 years, here’s a tip- give the customers a little saucer or bowl so they can dip the rolls into the sauce easier.
I ordered the curry noodle soup and loved how o could pick my protein and my spice level. The dish was delicious and packed the right level of heat! The staff were also really nice and my order came fairly quickly. I will definitely go back to try more dishes the next time I am in Saskatoon again.
Delicious meal and more than I could eat. Wonderful selections and seasoning was perfect. Complimented my chicken and shrimp rouman (?) with a Thai iced tea to temper the level of spice I requested. Yum! Last time I had the birds nest with the crispy noodles. Give them a try. Fresh and healthy!!
The good: the food, size of servings, the last five minutes of service. The bad: very slow service even when there were only a few tables, very expensive to add meat to a dish (and most dishes were meatless). Overall: the food was good and we’d maybe order takeout but don’t think we’ll be dining it again. It got extremely busy later on and the service, even before this, suffered.
This is a great place for vegans! Several of the dishes can be made vegan if you just choose tofu as your protein instead of the meat. I want to come back and try everything! Our server was so sweet too!! Drinks were good, food was good, service was good. Very pleased with this place!!
I tried Keos for the first time today, we ordered pad Thai and fresh rolls both were excellent! The food arrived hot and fresh. We will definitely order again. No complaints.
Had Tom yum soup with crispy tofu tonight. Very disappointed. The soup was too salty to eat. And the tofu was burned. Won’t be there again.
