To be honest was mainly here for there beer selection which might be the best in Saskatchewan but ordered the IPA tourtiere it came with mashed potatoes and was covered in mushrooms and gravy. It needed the gravy the pork was pretty dry usually tourtiere has lots of fat to stay juicy but flavour wise was really good.

Read lots of reviews on winstons, and after going there I understand why people say the service is bad. You can stand staring at the bartender for 15 mins and they won’t even ask you if you need anything. The servers seem unpleasant and stand around not even asking if you need anything. REALLY need a change in their customer service skills. How can anyone expect a tip when their getting no service..

Good beer selection. I’m sort of a sucker for the faux-English pub atmosphere they have going on. The place is home to an odd mixture of VLT addicts and business folks on weekdays, which makes it occasionally amusing and a little grungy. I dislike English food so I can’t comment on that part of their menu, but the typical pub stuff is passable and reasonably priced. Wings and beers on tuesdays are a good deal (works out to $11 for a pound of wings and a beer) but I do wish they had more selection for dry flavors. The patio is ridiculously obscure, but its seclusion is a bonus.

Winston’s Pub, an old Saskatoon favourite of mine! Lots of great beer on tap and in bottles. Beautiful dark wood throughout, just like an old English pub should be. A great place to have a few pints at the end of the day, it’s usually quite lively but there’s plenty of places to sit. If you like an old style pub, this is the place for you!

The beer is good, service was fast and good. Awesome selection for draft and dark beers/ beer cocktails. BUT Where were the pickles in the deep fried pickles?

Winston’s is the kind of place I go to out of habit or convenience. I don’t drink beer, so the beer selection does nothing for me. Service is usually rude and terrible, I think they are trained for such service. Food is bland and sometimes downright terrible. Last night I had the seafood chowder and it was awful; tasteless, shrimp was rubbery, and there was a huge fish bone that plunged into my gum. Painful and it made me lose my appetite, but at least it didn’t happen in my throat.
