Nothing special, and overpriced. Been there 3 times and each time, service was bad. I dont know if it was because i am a visible minority, but 2 out of the three times, I was waiting up to 15 -20 minutes for the server to address me and ask me if I wanted anything, while others who came in before and after me got served promptly. Once maybe coincidence, but twice?, I think not. I am a personable, working professional who has lived in the cathedral for 20+ years, and to get this treatment is astonishing to me.
Came here a few months ago for an iced-tea, it was alright, but I wouldn’t pay $4.50 for it again. I also tried the hummus and pita chips, they were actually really good. Might stop in for food again, but not drinks.
Awesome place! Have great selection of food and have the best vegan/vegetarian burgers! Great customer service and just an awesome place! Check it out for sure!
The woman who took my order was super friendly, the sushi quinoa bowl was delicious. I have read some other reviews that said portion sizes have shrunk, and I did feel $15 for a meal of this size was expensive. The atmosphere of the cafe (comfy, cozy, chill music, and I was able to sit and read for an hour) and the friendliness of the staff, however, are quite good.
Used to love it. This place used to be the bomb, now the soup tastes like water, it’s super expensive, the people working there seem to not know what they’re doing at all, and I’m pretty sure the portions are smaller.
Smaller portions, consecutively getting worse.. I use to eat here at least once a week as it was fresh, delicious and local. The prices remain the same but the portions have been cut in half, rice bowls are taste less and the vegan salad has close to no dressing and at most 4 small pieces of tofu which I add on. (They even changed the size of the small take out box.. which now fits the smallest amount of salad I have ever ordered).I’m disappointed if this is due to new owners 🙁 Unfortunately I’m needing a new favorite veggie restaurant.
Portions getting smaller. Living in this neighbourhood for years I have experienced the result of ownership change quite a few times now. I must say I find it rather disappointing to order items I’ve gotten time and again which are increasingly smaller each time I visit. For example, the veggie burger patties and the bowls. The portion size is not what it has been, not to mention I’ve noticed ingredients missing from bowls I used to enjoy. Ie/ red pepper gone from the Lucky bowl :(…. It comes across to me as a way to cut costs by reducing value to the customer.
