ALL REVIEWS PREVIOUS TO 2014 ARE FOR A DIFFERENT BON BURGER EXPERIENCE (new ownership is not good). Bon Burger used to be place I was excited to tell people about and would make the drive anywhere in town to pick up a burger. I brought a group of friends to the truck in July not realizing the truck was under new ownership and that the burgers were completely different. I had talked up Bon Burger for quite some time and the look of disappointment on my friends faces was embarrassing. The burger itself tasted store bought and was much thinner than I remember and there was very little flavor. I have better burgers outside of Canadian Tire for various fundraisers and those burgers only cost me $4 not $8. I will never go back again and I highly doubt my friends will either. Completely disappointed.
Bland, dry, expensive. $8 for the Bon Burger, too much bun, not toasted. Process cheese, not melted. Actual patty was dry, mealy and bland. This was my first time trying it, not sure why people rave about it.
Best Burgers. We had Bon Burger for our second time yesterday at the Queen City Ex. I’m so glad they were there, quite honestly theonkybfair food I was willing to eat. Our son tried the new Glazd and Confused and he loved it! He said it was the best burger he has ever eaten. I had the Mustang and it was impressive.mlove the variety of the unique burgers and custom made condiments right through to the homemade patty, mfreah bun and amazing fries. Their customer service is quite exceptional, very friendly staff!
New review for 2013. Another reviewer was spot on when he said that this place is not as good as it was last year. Indeed, the variety is lacking and the truck is harder to find. The former chef has now left and started his own food truck. This is noticeable. The patties are still good but a slippery slope may have started with the loss of variety and loss of the element of surprise in the daily menu. I am not sure if they still sell the awesome Mexican soft drinks they had last year. They did not have any either of the two times i visited them this year. A huge effort must be put into filling the vacuum that was created with the chef’s departure or what used to be a leading food truck in Regina could be surpassed by others.09 Feb, 2013Awesome burgers; need better buns. The burgers are excellent as are the Mexican soft drinks that they serve. I love the place. There is also variety as they keep changing the burger sauces around. My one suggestion would be the buns: they tend to get wet and soggy. If they can find better bread, they might achieve burger perfection.
What Happened?. I used to visit Bon Burger downtown on a weekly basis for their revolving menu of different, unique gourmet burgers. Everything from the beef to the sauces were simply exquisite and the consistently varying menu had me coming back for more. Now the truck doesn’t come downtown anymore, and when I finally tracked down the truck far from the downtown plaza I was incredibly disappointing with both the drop in variety and the dramatic decrease in product quality. I’m not sure what changed in Bon Burgers operation, but they seem to have sacrificed quality for efficiency, which might be why they have all but become the Rider’s personal food truck.
Awesome Experience. I have been a huge fan of Bon Burger since my first experience with them. I am lucky enough to work in a building right beside Century Plaza and have benefitted from the new Food Truck movement in Regina. I have tried them all and I count Bon as being close to the best of all that make their way down there. With the variety and creativity that they put into their burgers its always a treat to see what they have on the menu. Everything is local and that is one of my top priorities these days whether its a brick and mortar or a food truck. I have enjoyed a few of their burgers but my favorite is the Piquant Burger. Its a spicy marvel that is always juicy and fresh tasting. They layer in the heat but maintain the flavours of all the ingredients that in the burger. The fries are amazing as well. The best in the plaza bar none. I look forward to my next visit with these guys. Give them a try you won’t be sorry!
Ate here during Canada Day. The line was short and it still took around 15 minutes for the burger. After tasting it, it was worth the wait! I’ll be looking for them around Vic Park I just hope there isn’t a line because who knows how long I’ll have to wait for the food. Oh and they mozzarella for their poutine which is a huge fail.
