I came here tonight for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed it. The atmosphere is not what you’re here for, so don’t let it scare you off. The food is awesome and I knew it would be from the second we walked in and smelt it cooking. We ordered an extra spicy chicken Pad Thai and a Wor Wonton soup along with shrimp fresh rolls. All of the food was fresh and delicious. My personal favourite was the Pad Thai, definitely one of the best I’ve ever had. We ordered it extra spicy and it was the exact amount of spice we wanted. I will come back here again as the portion size and prices are both excellent. Our bill was $31.00 for two people and we have enough left overs for at least another meal. Highly recommend!
Sign outside and receipt indicate place is D & P Vietnamese Restaurant. Came 105pm to 135pm on Thursday. Small place, empty. Only 1 other couple whole time I was there. Usually not a good sign. Place is not that clean judging from dirty floor. Men’s washroom pretty atrocious. I ordered Thai Hot & Sour soup with shrimp. Was delicious. Spicy. Hot. Lots of shrimp. Service was pleasant. Only 1 person in front doing cashier, waiting and looking after customers. Price on par at $10.50 plus tax and tip. Definitely place you come for food and not the atmosphere or ambience.
Great little place to eat. My wife and I don’t dine out a lot, but when we do this place is on the list. Cozy, and we’re always greeted with a smile and recognition. Last night we had: a) shrimp and pork fresh rolls; b) ginger beef; and c) shrimp with vegetables and almonds. The fresh rolls were good, as always, though my wife found it a little odd about how warm they were (freshly cooked noodles, I suspect). The shrimp stir fry was excellent – served on a bed of rice and the vegetables still had good colour and texture. The only disappointing part about the meal was the ginger beef – it was fine with a good amount of ginger flavour, but the beef was battered and deep-fried. We’ve had ginger beef in other places that was not deep-fried, and we definitely prefer that – but perhaps that’s our fault for not asking. C’est la vie – next time we’ll order the Szechuan beef instead.
Great prices, great food & friendly. They have an excellent dinner for 1 selection. All $8.95 and includes soup. The soup is delish. My favourite item is #36 pork, it’s a noodle bowl with bbq pork (or chicken) and spring rolls. The spring rolls are awesome. The owners work there everyday and are friendly and remember you. Totally recommend.
