I am a regular visitor there and could not find any negative point There food is even getting better and better and they have the best service owners are very educated nice and decent .The restaurant is always clean and food portions are almost double than other Indian restaurants I love the Chicken Tikka Masala Goat curry and their South Indian food
The only dish I prefer in dawat india is the dosa’s but even then there are better dosa places in regina. I was so disappointed with their service. The lady whose parents own the restuarant has so much attitude and unfriendly vibes. We came 8:30pm and they close 9pm. Little did we know that they close in 30 min. You could clearly see on her face how annoyed she was, but we still sat down to eat. We asked for some dosas and they had run out (or they did not want to make anymore because it was near closing time). I let that slide. Instead we ordered some other foods (including butter chicken). When the foods came out, it was quite obvious she took the butter chicken from the buffet (which had just closed) and given the left overs to us. LIKE WHAT? Even the lamb curry we ordered was left overs. How did we know? Because there was like 5 pieces of meat with TONS of gravy! We called her out, but she looked at us as if were so stupid, umm? You are the worker and you are supposed to give good customer service. The food was not the best, butter chicken was SO SO sweet. While eating, you can tell they wanted us to eat quick, which we did. It was a very uncomfortable atmosphere, and this was my second time. First time I had dosas and it was good, this time was not so good. The lady needs some customer service/waitress skills before she tries doing business. I will not be coming back to this place ever again. Not to mention the pricing is WAY over priced!
Very unimpressed with Dawat. Thought it was great to have an indian place in the east but overpriced, unoriginal food paired with a delivery service that takes 2 hours…this is not anywhere I’ll return to soon. Go to Caraway instead!
One of the best Indian restaurants in Regina! The tikka masala is amazing. It is full of super tender chicken pieces in a creamy spicy sauce. It goes good with the garlic naan!!!

Stay away from this place. Unwelcoming environment and tasteless food will make you lost appetite for Indian food. There are couple other Indian restaurants in regina that’ll provide you worthwhile Indian dishes.
