I was hoping that this place would be my new favourite dim sum spot but it wasn’t as great as I expected. Some of the food was lacking in flavour (pork ribs, beef tripe, prawn dumplings, shrimp and pork dumplings). Although the pork ribs were bland, the meat was really soft and tender. The wrap around the prawn dumplings was really sticky and thick, which I wasn’t fond of at all. The rice rolls were also extremely thick (it would’ve tasted better if the rolls were a little thinner to absorb the soy sauce better) but it didn’t taste bad. I would’ve liked more shrimp in the rice rolls though(2-3 tiny shrimps in each rolls isn’t enough). The sticky rice tasted good but really lacked meat and mushrooms. I think I only found 1 slice of BBQ pork in the entire dish. I decided to try out the chicken feet, which isn’t a dish that I would normally order but decided to go for it at this restaurant. It looks unappetizing but all you’re really eating is a sauce on chicken skin, and it was surprisingly very tasty! The sauce was full of flavour. Lastly, I tried the vegetable and meat wraps (pork blend wrapped in tofu paper), which had a nice texture and flavour. I think my 2 favorite dishes from dragonboat would be the chicken feet, and the vegetable and meat wraps since they were the only dishes that has sufficient amount of flavour to them.

Im not sure how I feel about this place, although the service and atmosphere is great, the food is not what I expected. I guess Im comparing it to Yip Hong and Mandarin in Saskatoon whose dim sum dishes are so flavourful.

Better than expected! Taste and flavour was great. Only wish the portions were a bit bigger. Friendly staff and good atmosphere. Will come back to try more on the menu.

We had a late lunch here and it was fabulous. We could tell they had a very busy lunch hour, as many tables needed bussing and we could understand why. The food was excellent; it was obvious it was made in-house, not purchased frozen and heated. The service was friendly, the restaurant was clean and comfortable, and, again, the food was brilliant. We will be back!

Excellent family run operation with all dim sum made in house. Nice waitstaff. Try the veggie and meat wrap, Like little mini crepes. Almond wrapped shrimp also excellent. Next up are meat water fried buns?!
