Very rude service. We had never been to I Love Sushi before so we thought we’d check it out. We were seated and the waiter dropped a tablet onto the table, mumbled something and walked away before we could say anything. Never having been there before, we had no idea what to do with the tablet or how it worked. We had to flag another waitress down, who finally came over, to show us how to order with the tablet. She showed us and let us know that it’s all you can eat and the buffet is included. Rude waiter came back with water and almost hit my girlfriend in the face with the glass as he squeezed in between the waitress and my girlfriend’s head. The staff didn’t get any friendlier or helpful. Maybe when a customer is seated they should ask if they’ve been there before and if they know how to order. Basically, if you like being treated like crap go to this place. The food was decent so I gave 1.5
Well I go here a fair bit. As far as fast food sushi goes its pretty good. Ive been fortunate to get good sushi each time I go. I like the variety on the buffet and unfortunately everything is loaded with MSG.
My wife and I went out for sushi and to try a bit of their buffet. We only ordered 3 rolls and mixed tempura to see what we liked first. We hid 2.5 of the roles in napkins and threw them away in the bathroom and only ate one of the six pieces of mixed tempura. The batter was 2-3x the thickness of the yam slices and was raw and uncooked. The buffet featured mainly cold items that should be warm – over cooked but than allowed to cool and sit out in sauce. I was so excited to see steamed vegetables. I took two big spoons! Sadly they were coated in a thick gelatinous butter liquid, full of cubed MSG. The best part of the meal at a Chinese / Japanese restaurant was the coffee. The service was prompt and they did come and top up water quickly, take away dishes and bring out food. Sadly the food was terrible. The worst part was immediately feeling sick and still paying $60 for the two meals and coffee after tax. Worst meal in our five years together.
The salmon and tuna in the sushiswe orderedseemedgooey like it wasput ina blender. Theirbuffet was oneof the worse I ever had. Theyincluded little deep fried whole fishes & FISH HEADS…why?? The sweet and sour pork tasted funny. The buffet items were barely warmin the buffet cart. Only items in the buffet I enjoyedwere thedumplings. At a price of$25+ tax a person, I recommend finding a different place to eat…
Good food and service here. I’m a huge fan of sushi and I know that they always prepare it fresh. I also like the variety they offer. I would rather come here than go to wasabi.
The sushi can be better but their decor, use of technology, huge selection, space and atmosphere are pleasantly surprising for their pricing
Well, what to say about this place…First off, I really like the decor and I’ve never had an issue with the service. I should maybe preface this by saying that I’m a big sushi enthusiast and have eaten at pretty well every sushi place in Regina, and compared to the other places, this place is – well, it’s okay. The sushi is definitely good, but it kinda reminds me of the stuff that you would buy at Shoppers Drug Mart or your standard grocery store. Good and decent, but nothing to really write home about. Maybe I’m just being a sushi snob, but I find that there are other sushi places in town that put way more effort into their product. That said, I do appreciate the fact that they have a Chinese buffet in there, because not everybody likes sushi and it’s nice to be able to have another option when you want to get some sushi, but you can’t because there’s that one guy you hang out with who doesn’t like it. The buffet shuts them right up. Honestly, the buffet is pretty good, but there are a few things on there I’m not too fond of that seem to have some sort of weird mystery meat in them that aren’t very good. But at least they have all-you-can-eat crab legs. Mmmm. Not sure if the butter that they serve it with is real butter, though. Overall, it’s good and decent, and it will satisfy your craving, but as far as sushi goes, it’s just okay.
