Decent food, very small restaurant which is either a good thing or bad if it is busy. Fries are amazing. Wings are good. Brisket has lots of flavour. Pulled pork is only complaint. Mushy.. my guess is microwaved or it’s sitting in a bunch of liquid over cooking. Overall mixed experiences recently. Will give another shot.
For a place that’s suppose to specialize in BBQ meats it sure is mediocre. I got the platter for one and was just unimpressed with every selection.It’s by no means bad, just tasted like an average meal that even I could muster from home if given the time.
I took my mom here for dinner on her birthday last week. I had the baby back ribs and she ordered the brisket. The ribs were ok. Nothing amazing. However the brisket was really dry and didn’t come with sauce. The best thing on both plates was the cornbread. My biggest complaint is the coleslaw. A barbecue joint needs outstanding slaw. What was served to us tasted off and old. I also found it annoying that they were out of both types of cider listed on their menu. Plus the fact that the server was unaware and had to come back to the table for our drink order multiple times. In all likely hood, I will not be returning.
I’ve been numerous times and never disappointed. Having local beer to choose from is awesome for guests, the poutine is to DIE for, 100% recommended. I’ve seen people beg for their bean recipe but he wouldn’t give it to them.
Bit of an unusual building for a bbq restaurant. We had the bbq sampler for two. Really enjoyed the ribs. The brisket was tender but didn’t have a ton of flavour. Wow can this place get loud! There was only one other large table in there and you could barely hold a conversation four tables away.
Never have had a bad meal here. Try the barbecue chicken and make sure to get mac and cheese as a side! New location is awesome! Bright, sunny and more accessible for folks all over the city!
Not much to say about this place. The food and service was neither good or bad. Keaton’s BBQ serves the type of food I would expect from a school cafeteria.
