No where near the quality, service and taste of the north Albert location. I ordered the halibut and fries. The whole time I was there, the owner/manager kept giving the cook crap alot … out loud so everyone could hear. His main gripe was the amount of fries the cook was putting on the plates. When I got my meal there was 13 fries on the plate. This is an $18 meal …. I will never go back and I tell everyone I Know…. go to the north Albert location. This owner/manager is overbearing, loud, ignorant, rude and disrespectful.

I have been to Joey’s before and I went again today with my senior citizen parents. I had the fish and chips but swapped my chips for sweet potato fries. The food was delicious as always. I have had authentic fish and chips in England and they were not better than Joey’s. Plus, the service today was truly exceptional. Our server, Jessie, was friendly, attentive, polite, and she patiently helped my mom understand the menu options. My dad said it’s one of the best experiences he’s had for both food and service. Well done, Joey’s, for pleasing two generations at once.

Very poor service. Oct 14/14. My husband and I went to your North location. We have been customers of joeys since they opened in Regina. We are seniors and have enjoyed joeys food and service for a lot of years. We especially like the all you can eat feature on Tuesday’s. I must say we have never been treated in this way in any restaraunt that we were tonite. First of all I went to joeys last Tuesday for lunch. I ordered the calamari . I asked the very pleasant waitress if it had any spice at all on it as I am diabetic and have a very acidy stomach and a lot of spice makes me sick. She said no ma’am it just comes out plain with sauce. She said there was a sweet sauce I could get instead of spicy. The calamari was excellent as well as the sauce. She was an excellent waitress. Now for tonite. I again ordered calamari, my husband ordered all you can eat fish. The girl who took the order did not serve it. The fellow who served it was I believe native neither here or there just so you know who iam talking about. I don’t remember names much. I called the girl over and said why is my calamari full of spice. She said it’s been like that since joeys opened. I told her I was there last week and that was not the case. She walked away so I flagged her down again and asked for a box so my husband could eat it later. Her attitude was terrible she said do you want something else. I wasn’t about to pay for another meal. So I said no. She never came back so I asked the other fellow if my husband could have two more pieces of fish. He said I’m not your server. I said well I can’t get a hold of my server as she flitting all over the place and I can’t catch her attention. He said she’s not flitting around she’s serving other customers. Well we were customers too. My husband told him to be quiet and to stop arguing with his wife. So he went over to the girl and told her we were being rude to him. Then he came back and said how many pieces of fish do you want. My husband said forget it.My husband left and I went up to pay. The girl said I’ll comp this in a very nasty tone. I said what does comp mean she said I’ll take care of it. I heard you were rude to my server. I said I won’t be back she said good because we don’t want people like you in here. There was another customer sitting on the bench that heard all of this. I left your restaraunt being a diabetic without my supper. This is a terrible way for long time or any customers to be treated and that young man should wash his hair before coming to work. It was very greasy and looked like it hadn’t been washed for months. When I phoned to talk to the manager that same girl answered she had long hair and a ponytail. She said I’m the closest your going to get for a manager. We were very regular customers and are very disappointed. The servers that used to be there always recognized us and never treated us like this. We are both very very upset.just because they didn’t take our money does not compensate or make this experience any better. I have worked in restaraunts and customer service since I was 16 and I know if I treated people in this manner I would have been reprimanded or let go. This is highly unacceptable behaviour.

Great Chef suggested to us the Shrimp Gyoza and they were so Awesome that our daughter claimed them leaving us to order another another! We Loved the fish and chips had so much I’m sure we could have shared one plate and had enough!

Fishy Business. I ordered an all you can eat special and my wife ordered a sweet potato fries entre. We asked the waitress to be seated in a more private seat (our favorite table at the Regina East location). The waitress seemed reluctant to re-seat us, however acquiesced. From the moment of ordering we had the distinct impression of being under surveillance by our waitress.I offered my wife a piece of fish from my plate and I had some of her sweet potato fries. To my dismay, the minutiae of our movements were being noted by the waitress who later informed us that sharing from each others plates was not permitted at Joeys Only. As it happened, our appetites were satisfied with what we had eaten, and I had no desire to request additional food. She adjusted our bill, which actually came out to be less than had the issue of sampling from each others plates not come up.At the end of the day, I do not see that one or two dollars difference in a restaurant bill matters. The dining experience is what matters most. Enjoying ones dining is ruined however, when you feel that your server is placing you under surveillance over such a petty matter. I have never heard of a restaurant that bans sharing from each others plates. It is a common practice and the idea of banning that practice is absurd. My wife and I were regular customers at two Joeys Only locations at two Regina locations and when traveling. This experience has soured us however. Joeys Only could have earned back our business if they had bothered to reply to my complaint when I filled out their online feedback form. Unfortunately, they did not even reply, leading me to suppose that the only purposes of their corporate feedback form is to gather dirt on their employees. On the bright side, I hear that Union Jacks has very good fish and chips.

We stopped at Joey’s for a seafood luncheon. The menu was smaller than before. We ordered Sushi Crunch (did not like the wasabi mayo dressing), coconut shrimp (awesome) and calamari (very good) appetizers. Mains were Joey’s Fish and Chips. Waitress was great and the food was prepared quickly. We will be back
