Amazing olive bread sticks!. By far my favourite item sold at Koko’s are the olive bread sticks. I could eat a dozen of those; they are so fresh and delicious. Often the place runs out of bread sticks before noon…Pastries look most interesting and the cakes are beautifully decorated with fresh flowers. I also love their scones (possibly the best in town). Everything there is very good and meets a high standard. That said, there is better bread in city, better chocolate cake and better macarons. However, as an overall pattisserie, Koko’s is probably unbeatable in Regina (although individual items–other than the olive bread sticks–can be beat). The locations is a bit awkward, like another reviewer said, but I don’t mind that too much. It is an excellent addition to the up and coming warehouse district neighbourhood. Keep up the good work Koko’s.
I wish there was a love it button. Koko makes amazing cakes and cookies and I love popping in for special occasions and quick treats!
Fantastic! Price, taste and unique selections.
Koko was quite delicious. The raspberry cheesecake brownie is the most delicious thing I’ve ever tasted! The space is awkward and there is no sitting space which sucks….you have to order your stuff to go. I also found the staff to be quite incompetent – which surprised me for being in the radisson hotel. The staff was very slow and I had to repeat and point out what I wanted over and over again. May stop in again if I’m in the area during the summer but not anytime in the winter because of the lack of parking and seating.
Bad Macarons. The macarons were very hard and brittle upon bitting into them. The ganache in the centre tastes of mostly butter. Not sure if they are made in house or not. Most of the pastries, over my 3 day stay, were the same from day one and over one day old. Good coffee on the other hand but the pastries, although they are beautiful, need some injection of authenticity and improved texture. thewanderfulltraveler.com
Breads. Try the oats with date loaf. Or, flax and pecan loaf. Great toasted with butter or cream cheese..
This is a little piece of heaven in Regina. I go here to get a snack during my lunch hour. They never fail to amaze me. Great service! And the piece de resistance being their selective and delectable gourmet pastry! You can tell they really put effort into every one to make it savoury. My favourite so far is the chocolate cupcake that has a little flower on it. Keep up the good work!
