So I really wanted to like this restaurant. The food is great, really nice flavour and selection. However, there were other factors that made it lose out on overall experience. Though the food was good, the portion sizes were much too small for the price paid. I got the satsuma chicken which is primarily a pasta dish for $17, there was not much on the plate in terms of pasta and very little vegetables to go with it and a small chicken breast. Let’s just say, I wasn’t full by the end of my meal. I was also given a whole chilli pepper mixed into my vegetables which would have been quite a shock had I mistaken it for one of the carrots. The service was also quite slow, about 40 min from sitting down to when the food arrived and not a whole lot of service throughout the meal. I also found it odd that wait staff was seen wearing khaki shorts and a bright green T-shirt in an environment that seems like it’s trying to be a little more classy. And no, it was not rider gear as that would be an exception on game nights.
Food was good as usual. But extremely disappointed that you changed your fries. Loved the homemade style that was there before. These new ones are generic, I can go anywhere for them fries.
This place is pretty sweet. Good food, good atmosphere. The service has been good every time I’ve been there, and they also have some pretty cool live music some nights. Good place to hang out with friends.
I hadn’t heard of this place till I had a meal there today. Boy was I missing out! We had the pretzel appetizer to start which was off the charts good. I’d go back just for that. All three of the dipping sauces provides were so tasty. We both enjoyed our main dishes as well. My only nitpick is that the fries were kind of ‘meh’ and my sangria didn’t include any fruit. Overall, the service was good and the food exceeded my expectations. I’ll definitely be back!
The food all looks and what I had tasted amazing but the drink prices are ridiculous. A pint of beer such as kronenburg is $10.50.. Yes you read that right, $10.50 for a pint.
Fantastic good every time I come. The corn chowder is amazing and so are the steak frites. Nice rotating beer selection on tap as well. Every time I’m in Regina for work I make a point of eating here.
Far too expensive for the sample size portions they serve. It was good food but for Pete’s sake, put some food on the plate! To think that there are even small size portions on the menu as well. This must be a restaurant for ballerinas.
