Great People, Good Food!Nice casual place to go for a night out, they always have something going on, and have a fantastic happy hour from 3-6 every day!
Good atmosphere, service needs a lot of work. Seems like if your not a regular customer, you might get service every 20 min. Only 7 people in restaurant, will not come back.
7/10 overall rating. Remember , this is a hotel restaurant , not that a hotel restaurant can be good, but they just meet my expectations of convenience. I use this hotel due to business and Im Lazy, yes I said it lazy. After a long day working in Regina Im too lazy to go anywhere else. So, I settle for the Belle. 12/10 – Service is stellar, amazing staff here. (Especially Rose!!, I dont know how she has the energy)11/10 – Portions are huge (either they are huge or I cant eat as much in my old age)6/10 – food taste…its..well…ok11/10 – Happy hour pricing is awesome after a long day10/10 – ambiance is very comfy. 5/10 – menu selection just needs more… I dont know exactly what it needs but it just needs more. Im probably bored of it since I stay here often.7/10 – pricing needs to be free in order to get a solid 10 ( so impossible )10/10 – need to watch a game…well just ask…they usually put it on.
We gave this spot a try today. While the waitress was very friendly and efficient, she hadnt noticed that one of the dishes was dirty. Aside from that the food was good and we may try it again.
Finally got around to stopping in for dinner last night and I wish we would have done it sooner. For not having a huge menu there were lots of things I would have tried. We ended up ordering bangers and mash, the hand pies and Brazilian street food. Everything was really, really good and a bit different than anything else Ive had in Regina. Will definitely be back.
Dined here on a Friday night. Nice decor and pleasant staff. Ordered the steak and baked potato with a side garden salad and my partner ordered the salmon. Requested the steak done rare, but it was served very well done. Partner was mistakenly served the steak and mushroom pie, but we accepted it and the waitress apologized. My garden salad was very good and one of the better salads I’ve been served in quite some time. My steak was adequate, although very over-cooked. Partner’s steak and mushroom pie was too salty. Unfortunately, the stereotype of English food was reinforced with this meal. However, I think this place has potential if they can get the execution right. Also, the martinis I ordered were great. Kudos to the bartender not only for his mixing skills, but also for taking the time to seat us and getting us a good table of our choice. And, our waitress was nice too. Will potentially try this place again in a few months to give it time to sort out its issues.
We decided to visit this restaurant, which is part of the Marriot hotel, because we read that the Chef is a past winner of Master Chef Live UK. It is my understanding that Master Chef live is not the tv show but a live version of it that takes place regularly in the U.K. It does seem significant enough. The environment, restaurant-bar style, was better than I would expect for a hotel in this category and was reasonably busy. The Menu was quite limited. The Asian chicken burger was well-presented and pretty good. The chicken wings were a disappointment- to me they tasted like they could have been cooked on a different day and then smothered in sauce just before serving. The dates wrapped in bacon were pretty good. The Brie was fine but was served with what seemed to be supermarket-bought crackers which was a disappointment. On the whole, this place is fine but the food (which was acceptable) was not quite at the level that I would expect from a Master Chef (live) winner.
