My family shared a bucket meal (chicken, wedges, macaroni salad, and gravy). I’ve been to other Mary Brown’s franchises around AB and SK and this one was pretty disappointing. The chicken tasted fine. It wasn’t overcooked or dry but not seasoned well (lacked flavour). The macaroni salad was absolutely disgusting! Way overcooked, heavy on the mayonnaise, and not much flavour to it. The gravy tasted like soy sauce (WTF?!). The wedges were the only decent thing in the meal.
I came here today with a friend. We both tried the Spicy Mary Brown sandwich and the chicken poppins. The food had very good flavour, however it was not very warm when we got it. I also wish they would have put more sauce on the sandwich because it was a bit dry. The service was very efficient and the restaurant itself was very clean. I would come back here but ask for extra sauce next time!
Ordered from there a few times now, love the chicken (no more KFC for us) love the sides and fries, but not a fan of the gravy. All in all great food.
The chicken was okay but needed hot sauce. Sides were quite underwhelming carbs carbs and more carbs. Potato wedges were dry. Would have liked a water option. At least it wasn’t super greasy like KFC.
It’s pretty good for a chicken joint. Beats KFC, Chicken isn’t as greasy.I thought the chicken was tasty, but the wedges and salad were a little bland for my liking. No dinner rolls at this place to dip in gravy and the gravy is more brown beefy than chicken flavored.
