Finally made it to this Regina institution. Its popularity was evident from the lines forming around it. The wait in line was about ten minutes, so not horrendous. There are a lot of choices. I settled on a cherry cheesecake cyclone. It was pretty good, but not phenomenal. Could have had more goodies and the ice cream they used wasnt the best. Would return to try other things though.
The staff was very nice, prices were ok and the treats were very good. I had the small Reese’s cyclone and the serving was very generous. It was super good.
This place is a classic. They always have the best flavours and quality when it comes to ice cream in Regina. I use to love going to Dessart for ice cream, but lately the quality has gone down hill and they offer less and less flavours every year. I’ll stick to Milky Way from now on! Delicious every time!
This place is truly a Regina institution. Perfect on a summer evening. Pointless to recommend to locals – they already know and have been going as long as they remember. If you’re visiting town, you gotta. Open seasonally though. Out of luck til spring.
Went to this place since I was a kid and I have lived in Regina for over 30 years. Like the cyclones and various flavour of the week items. When one thinks about ice cream in Regina, it’s the Milky Way.It’s been around for nearly 60 years and even appeared in a beer commercial that showed various famous places in Canada. If want to avoid a long or longer lineup, go there in mid-afternoon and do not lineup at the third side-window.

Addicted. I go here way too often and enjoy it way too much. If you have never gone here, please go. However, has anyone else noticed this year that the portions are getting a little less generous (size and amount of toppings) and there have been a few more mistakes (incorrect change and wrong items made)? I really hope this is temporary because I need my Milky Way fixes. (One last comment- don’t go here for hard ice cream, or if you do, don’t complain that it is like the ice cream from the store because that is what it is. You go to Milky Way for soft ice cream and all the wonderfully delicious combinations you can make with ice cream and candy.)
