  BBQ and Trucks go together like Beerz and Boatz, Basic Girls and Pumpkin Spice. In this time of chilly mornings and warm days I was able to appreciate the blend of warm and chilly, and hot and mellow. The Cup’o’Que was a pleasant dish that allowed me to enjoy the farmers market through its breakthrough design of putting the dish into a single cup that allowed me to eat with just one hand. While the taste was a solid 8/10, the price of $10 was far to high, and the serving size just does not justify this value. #SWINGON

  Prairie smoke and spice BBQ.Is a food truck and a catering business. Which their foods as a food truck Is the best in the city of Regina. I was looking for unique experience for our wedding anniversary, we were having celebration on Willow Island in Wascana Park in Regina. Which proved a bit of a logistical concerns for some caters, one transportation to the island by boat and the weather. The other thing I was looking for was BBQ not the type of meals of burger and dogs . Looking though their catering menus of Prairie smoke and spice BBQ, I saw that they do a whole Hog. Wow what meal! The meat just melt in your mouth. The coleslaw and the bake bean were delicious. Over all it was one the best meals I ever had catered . The staff did outstanding job setting up and serving the meal , they were very friendly and helpful . If you are in Regina and you see their food truck go for the best in town. If your looking for a cater they are one of the best in my books.

  Got a little peckish while shopping at the Farmer’s Market on Saturday so I decided to grab a sandwich at the Prairie Smoke food truck. The person taking orders recommended the brisket so I ordered one with coleslaw on top. The beef was very flavorful, juicy and tender. It was exactly as brisket should be. The bun it was served on was soft and really soaked up the excess juices. My only complaint is the slaw. It was just ok. I think the cabbage was from a bag which is very disappointing considering that there are at least 12 vendors just seconds away at the Farmer’s Market selling some of the best cabbage money can buy. However, I did like the added apple. It gave it a different texture and some sweetness. I would also like to compliment the way that that food trucks are setup at the market this year. They have their own area right next to the tables. It is much better than in previous summers. All in all, Prairie Smoke is likely the best BBQ in Regina. I encourage them to expand their menu a bit. It would be nice to get some ribs and maybe corn on the cob when it is in season. next month. Regardless, I am sure I will be back multiple Saturdays this summer and fall.
