Overcharged. I’ll start by saying this is the 1st review I’ve given and doing so because the only option they left me. I went for supper and drinks for a rider game. We bought over $350 worth of food and drinks. The service was fine to start but the server missed bringing a drink and started to get backed up. We ordered additional drinks and started to order doubles to address the slow service. I don’t blame the server. When we went to pay they overcharged for the drinks not brought. When we brought it to the waitresses attention she left and brought her manager. He took an aggressive demeanor and stance at our table and proceeded to argue with the wrong person at our table. Very defensive over a couple of drinks instead of discussing it like any manager should do. Why would we argue about a couple of drinks but be willing to spend a few hundred bucks? He left and a waitress returned and tossed a new bill on our table without any comment to us. Left with the impression that we had done something wrong so I decided to talk to the manager as we left. I explained calmly that his approach gave the wrong impression and could have been handled better. He was instantly defensive and said they did nothing wrong. I was not after anything but to explain how they could improve their service. I’d think any restaurant would appreciate any comments they receive if sincere to help them improve, not this place. At this point I didn’t even care anymore but was annoyed. I was about to leave but the owner? came over and offered $5 dollars. What an insult, As our issue was not money but the disrespect of the situation I became even more offended. I wasn’t asking for anything. I tried offering some honest response to their service but was met with insincere apologies and then dismissed. All they had to do was say they were use to being yelled at by unhappy customers or taken advantage of so took a defensive approach, apologize sincerely and I’d be on my way. Instead they viewed me as insignificant to their profits, which is true. I hope all the negative reviews add up and start to open their eyes. Why do something poorly when you can do it well and have more enjoyment and pride. Why go here when there are so many other places in the city who actually enjoy running a successful restaurant.
Monday Night Football. There’s a reason the place was empty when I walked in…. The food. Service was fast, waitress was friendly, lots of TV’s to watch the game. The food, however, was terrible.
Service was a joke, waitress was clueless when it came to the menu….an best yet my meal was completely wrong!!! Keep it up press box… Negative experience means everyone I know will hear about it.
I love this place
Went here for a steak night and felt ripped off. $20 for a very small steak, small amount of soggy fries, and a small salad. Didn’t include a drink, not even a pop, let alone a draft beer. The special tonight was actually the steak sandwich for only 7.99. Would have been a better deal to get that and give the other 12 bucks directly to the fundraising effort. The wife ended up making popcorn when we got home, I guess the skimpy dinner didn’t fill her up either. The one positive was the flavor of the steak it was actually pretty good, both bites of it. Service was garbage, there for hour and half and had one beer. Waitress didn’t come back once food was served.
Worst Service. I didn’t know why I kept returning, and finally had enough. The food is so so, the service is awful. The worst part is the selection of sports in a sports bar. No MLB and try asking for a football game. You might get it, and then they will constantly change it on you. Last time I was there, they wouldn’t put one NFL game on in a bar with 27 big screen TV’s. They acquiesced after my friends put in a large order, and promptly changed it back to the CFL after they were served. Avoid at all costs.
