I’ve been here a few times and I really enjoyed the decor and ambiance inside, it didn’t feel like I was in Regina! The waitress we had was ok, but it took her a while to get our drinks and to allow us to pay at the end. Would come back in the future.
NEED BETTER TRAINING!! I had a horrible experience.. I went to Rock Creek on friday night as a group of five people and it was obviously busy at that time. so we sat in the corner table which was just open. and we were waiting for cleaning up, but waitress didn’t clean it. and just took order some beers and some foods. so we just understood she might busy so we moved the previous ppl’s empty glasses to other open table. We had been waiting for a long time since they were busy and then finally the waitress came and started to serve beers. Since the table was small, a friend of mine was sitting on the side of the table where he was not able to see at his back. but then waitress came to our table to serve in a hurry. she must let us know that she was behind the guy so that he would be careful and let her serve beer carefully. but without any notifications in advance, she started to serve and the guy who was sitting on the side obviously didn’t realize she was at his back and was keep talking to his friend next to him. and his hand mistakenly touched her hands. so the careless waitress spilt all the beers to my boy friend’s pants, my dress and my pricy purse.. i went to washroom to clean my purse and my dress and let it dry but my bf had to go back home to change his whole clothes. I was so unhappy and upset how she behave after it happened. she seems like blaming the guy who touched her hands. And she neither say sorry nor brought napkins to us. she was serving other table even though our table and seat, floor are really messy with beers. I was waiting for anybody to come and help us to clean up our table and seat for 5mins, and needed bunch of napkins. and i just rather went to washroom to bring whole bunch of napkins myself. when i came back to our table, finally some other people came and was wiping up the table and the floor. my friends were too kind. Even my bf just smiled and didn’t complaint anything about it to her or manager. but for me who had experienced as a waitress, her behaviour was definitely unacceptable. she must be careful in the busy work environment not the customers. Customers are usually excited to have conversations with their friends after work in friday night. The management supposed to provide us cleaning fee for our clothes and purse.! After it happened, she seemed keep try to avoid her mistake and blamed the guy and not mentioned anything about apology or asked about our wet clothes and purse. i felt we were ignored. When my bf paid for the bill, she didn’t even mention anything still. and we paid full amount of payment plus tip. I really hate her attitude and behaviour like that. How can it be possible..?
The food is average. Every time we go I find that nothing stands out in the menu. We went once when tuna was on as a chef special and unfortunately it was overcooked and did not meet expectations.
So so…. This place is neither terrible nor outstanding, despite some of the polarised reviews. The ambiance is good for a casual restaurant/pub place despite the odd (yet not uncommon for this city) location at a strip mall. The service was very good. The food is so so…Most things are certainly edible but nothing stood out for me as outstanding. My friends said that the tacos with (breaded) fish were not as good as the other (I think chicken) tacos. My rib eye steak was so so (but at least it wasn’t try like it is in many Regina pubs), their sweet potato fries are acceptable and so on. On the whole, this is a fine place to go and visit with friends (with OK food) but, if excellent food is what you seek, there are better choices.
A Disappointing Meal Expens…. A Disappointing MealExpensive, low quality, cold, thin, New York steak! Cold vegetables, and poor deserts! Our server was good but the meal is a 5 out of 10 at best. Very noisy place due to the pub beside the dining room. It’s no wonder they are not busy on a Friday night! And the Keg has over an Hour wait to get seated! Won’t be back any time soon. :'(
Use to be fabulous…. …Has really gone down hill…..Atmosphere is nice but food wise ..comparable to Smittys! Found the service staff a bit unfriendly, and annoyed.Makes me sad cause it was a wonderful place to go.
Ribeye was to come with ‘wild sauted mushrooms’….. got the outta a can kind. Majorly disappointed. Ruined the steak.
