We went there, last week we are surprised that the prices went little bit higher compared to some other place, their savory chicken, (deep fried chicken)which they considered special of the day,was a dollar higher compared to whats on the menu, ( i guess thats what they called special), we ordered sinigang with lots of broth, 2 1/2 pieces of pork (chopped into pieces) and little vegetable for $14.95, their crispy pata was ok and tasty though, and ambience and service was fine,i wish all worth the money
Tried this little spot for the first time this evening. Had grilled pork skewers with rice which were good. Not great, but definitely good. Service was friendly and helpful (I’m not too familiar with Filipino cuisine but that is going to have to change).Saw dessert brought to another table, and was intrigued though, so I tried the halo halo. How is this not the next big thing in Canada??? Especially in the summer. I live in Winnipeg, which has a huge Filipino community, and have somehow not come across this before.Shaved ice, evaporated milk, purple yam ice cream, sweet red beans, tropical fruits, jell-o, coconut, and some more craziness. It’s total chaos of sweet, delicious, brightly coloured insanity with a brain freeze on top, but somehow it works!I plan to go back and try something a bit more adventurous, like the crispy pata. That’ll most likely raise my rating
We had a great meal a couple of nights ago. It was an enjoyable Boodle Fight with a small group of us. Delicious food and a restful atmosphere where we could eat at a leisurely pace. I’m sure we’ll be back again sometime soon!
Really tasty food, friendly service. Didn’t know what any Filipino food items were but server patiently explained. They also have pizza and stuff. Good prices, good portions.
