Review will focus on the food because I ordered takeout. C.3 – panaeng curry chicken. Honestly can’t beat the price. It was very tasty curry dish with the right amount of heat (I asked for mild – for Thai food it was great, for non-spicy folks it may be a tad too spicy). Decor inside looked a little worn but I didn’t stay to dine. Would visit again
Can’t go wrong with this place. Though I do think it’s a little pricey but it’s the only place to get real good Thai food in our city. The curry is delicious and I just keep coming back here.
I have eaten here many times for the lunch buffet — it is a great deal, last time I went it was $10 for quite a selection of food including a fried seafood dish, a lemongrass & lime infused soup, vegetarian Pad Thai, mixed vegetables, corn fritters, a very very addictive but quite sweet dessert — coconut cream laced milk & sweetened condensed milk with jellied zig zag pieces + a very crunchy fresh element that I couldn’t identify but it was very good — I googled thai dessert soup and came up with a possible contender — water chestnuts! Gosh, how creative is that! I’ve always used water chestnuts in savoury dishes such as stir-frys or egg rolls.I quite enjoy coming here at night as well, you can experience a fuller breadth of the many wonderful discoveries that can be made in the extremely nuanced and multi-layered sensation that is Thai food. If you come as an open book, it can truly tickle taste buds you didn’t know exist and help grow your palate to appreciate a cuisine that is highly developed. I have never been to Thailand, but from my readings and from others relayed personal experiences, these learnings have been transmuted in my mind to be as an incredibly extraordinary cuisine that will blow your god dang mind.
Good tasting food, decent restaraunt. Bathrooms are filthy so you can imagine how they keep their kitchen. What is it with restaraunts that have a layer of black grime all over their bathroom doors? Have they never heard of soap before? Also the food was all way too hot. We ordered everything mild and our 4yo couldn’t even eat any of it. It burned me something awful the next day on the way out as well. I eat hot food several times a week and cook with cayenne pepper religiously, so they must be using cheap jalapeanos or something that just burn and burn and burn a hole right through you. They need to work on their recipes a bit. Also, they should use real chicken and not that pre-prepared crap that’s mixed with potato starch or soy or whatever to make it more tender. Just use real chicken guys. It would be SO much better.
The best Thai food I have ever had!Super hot, very fresh, incredibly authentic. Easily the best restaurant in Regina!
I brought my mom here for dinner tonight, we didn’t have a reservation, but we got in right away! The waitress was really nice and helpful when we asked about the menu. We ordered the Golden purses, Shrimp pad Thai and the Pineapple fried rice. All three of our dishes were delicious! You could tell everything had been made fresh, and the food was extremely hot when she brought it to our table. The Pad Thai portion was a little small, but the pineapple rice made up for it, there would have been enough for at least 4 people to eat it! I loved the hot sauce that came with the golden purses, it added an extra dimension to the dish that I wasn’t expecting. The spicy herbs that came with our Pad Thai were also really good. Will come back to this place again!
Excellent value for the price with big portions. The noodle dishes are less greasy than typical which I appreciate. The decor seems a little faded and worn but it obviously hasn’t impacted the kitchen since the food was tasty. I like the tom yum soup especially because it was spicy hot but in a way that complimented the other flavours.
