I was amazed when I entered the restaurant & seen the big smoker in the restaurant & them stuffing it with logs & meat. Me & a work buddy ordered salt & pepper chicken wings, brisket sandwich & chicken fried steak sandwich. The wings where cooked perfectly which is very rare ,hard to believe the overcooked wings most restaurants put out, & seasoned nicely. The brisket & chicken fried steak sandwiches where very dry. I was very disappointing I am a brisket fiend. Its a shame a few changes& this place could be amazing.
First time I went here got the Pitboss Special. Was fairly tasty meal. Has a decent brisket and pulled pork on later visits. Going to try some other menu items whenever I drop by there again.
Thought I’d try out some smoked food in regina this place was weak . Better go and eat a burger at five guys before you eat here . Tiny portions for the high price and to top it off the brisket and pulled pork were dried out and most likely cooked a week ago
My husband and I ordered delivery from Smokin’ Okies through Skip the Dishes, and we were very pleased with the food. My husband had the Beef Brisket Dinner with a baked potato and baked beans. It looked like the portion of beef was quite generous. He said it was good and worth 4.5 stars. I had the Pit Boss Special, which was like a layered casserole with corn bread, beef brisket, beans, and cheese. It was delicious comfort food with just the right amount of spice.
Not worth it. I’m from the south so love this type of food! BUT this place was a disappointment. Portions were TINY! Like we left hungry and didn’t order more because the prices were high. I felt we got a better deal at mcdonalds. I got my daughter the Mac and cheese…she didn’t like it. I tried it and it was gross!! Not the creamy, warm (it was actually cold) southern style I’m use to at all. Wish this could be a better review because I want it to be good.
Yum. First time here. Smelled delicious. Had the pulled pork, and it was very good. Small portions (but we’re all too fat in North America anyhow, so maybe that’s not a bad thing) and a bit pricey ($18 for pulled pork with a baked potato and coleslaw, with a bottle of coke) but I’d still come back.
Worst Customer Service Ever!. Despite advertising opening hours for 11 a.m. I arrived there today to a sign on the door stating they would open at 11:30 due to catering — at 11:35, when they still had not opened, I tapped on the door and was advised by staff that they were not done yet and would open when they were – no apology no nothing – just too bad for me – wait or don’t he really didn’t care
