We got there at 6. The waitress said there was a delay for dark meat but we could have white meat right away. What she should have said was that the cook was supposed to put chickens on to cook at 3.30 but didn’t. So don’t choose chicken. We eventually got our food at 6.50. Almost an hour wait. The chicken was fine. The baked potato was fine. You got a spoonful of cranberry sauce on a lettuce leaf!! A spoonful of cold crumbly dressing that was hard to pick upWithout a spoon and the bun – I thinkThey got frozen buns and these were cooked before they were properly thawed because they were hard and chewy and inedible. The last thing is that halfway down the path there is s step. It does have yellow paint on it but you don’t expect a step halfway down a path and I think it would have been safer just to slope the path. Also it’s not a proper restaurant. It looks a bit like Walmart McDonald’s. We did get 25 percent off because of the wait. But they should have told us before we ordered and we wouldn’t have chosen the chicken.

Been here like three time already! All our families love this place. South location not so much, this one has amazing service, even on Canada day, and the food is always top notch. When we are out with family it’s always crazy everyone figuring out what they want and they are always patient, especially our friendly waitress on Canada day! Good prices for good food. A consistent place for when our family is in town.

We stopped in after the football game. There was no staff manning the front. But quickly found our waitress was there alone. She was friendly and did a very good job considering. The new or new to me rotisserie beef looked very good. So spouse decided on the hot rotisserie beef sandwich with fries and veg. It looked quite good when it came out. But ended up having a lot of fat. The bread was not toasted so became gummy and stuck to the plate horribly. The fries were cold along with the veggies. I had the half rack side ribs with baked potato. My meal also came with a roll and coleslaw. My ribs were not what I’ve had at other Swiss Chalets. The were a bit on the tougher side and had quite a bit of fat. The roll was warm but guessing must have been microwaved as the one end was very hard. We were quite disappointed in this experience. We’ll be saving our future visits for when we’re in the Toronto airport.
