Was here on a Wednesday night. In town on business so dining alone, decided to sit in the lounge.Rachelle was my server. Took 11 minutes for her to stop by to take a drink order. Asked for some wine recommendations as there was no wine list in the table. She grabbed one from another table and said she’d be right back. More than 15 minutes later she’s back to take my drink order (I’ve now been in the lounge almost 30 minutes and still don’t have a drink). She takes my order and when she’s brining it to the table she has a tray full of drinks so can’t take my food order but says she will be right back. Right back to Rachelle is another 10 minutes (almost 40 minutes to place an order for food and the lounge isn’t busy)!!!!She must have forgotten to place my food order because the table next to me that ordered after me got their order well ahead of me. My meal finally arrived 75 minutes after I walked in.Good was good as it typically is at the Keg. Service by Rachelle was AWFUL. I should have walked out but I was hungry and they’re wasn’t much else close by that wasn’t fast food. So if you visit this location and get Rachelle as a server ask for someone else!!
Came here tonight for a birthday celebration with family. Our waiter’s name was Chris, and he provided excellent service throughout our whole experience. I thought this restaurant was going to be a bit of a higher class restaurant than it actually was, there was a group of older women who were drinking and yelling loudly a few tables away from us. To start we ordered an appetizer of the Lobster Gratine which was delicious! The cheese and seasonings on the lobster were fantastic. For our main meals we ordered one baseball steak, one sirloin steak, one prime rib classic and one sirloin topped with lobster. The food took longer than expected we waited around 40 minutes, but it was worth it. It was all very hot and fresh when it reached our table. The steaks we had were a bit chewy and fatty but cooked to our liking. The only other complaint I had was that I ordered the Lobster Sirloin ($39.00) and was given a Steak and half Lobster meal instead ($46.00) this was not a huge deal, and I didn’t even notice until we had paid for dinner already. The dessert they gave us for the birthday guest was the Billy Miner Pie- which was so delicious! Would love to come back because of how great the service was, just wish the clientele this business attracted was a little classier.
2016-06-12 Had Dinner at this location for the first time. I like the layout of the place. Was on the lounge side. Service was good but infrequent. French Onion Soup: Not so great, kinda bland wouldn’t order again.Tuna Tacos: Had a bitter taste about them, wouldn’t order again.Iceberg Wedge Salad: Fun looking and was pretty tasty, would order again for a lighter dish.Twice Baked Potato: Dry and bland…. which was unfortunate cause I really miss Montana’s Triple Baked potatoes. I don’t know what it is about the Keg, but I just don’t like it. I give it a 4.0 cause there is really nothing wrong with this place. Inside and the deck is nice, service was good and they do have decent steaks and other dishes…. I just can’t explain it really? I guess I could say that I don’t care for there lack of vegetables and the the crowd this place attracts. It just seems like it’s been around forever and its boring. The Keg is like Kelsey’s bigger brother, if anyone gets that analogy. And Kelsey’s sucks.Either way, that’s just this ignorant fool’s awful opinion 😉 And I will probably be back as many people love this place for some reason and we’ll be invited to dinner, or a birthday or something.
The Keg offers a cozy atmosphere in which to eat lots of food. It is consistent and you can always count on staff attentiveness. I frequent the Keg when I am not sure what to have or if in a new city.
Food taste just as great as The Keg in the south location. Prime rib was cooked to my linking using real au jus dripping fromthe beef. A bit pricey but worth every dollar spent.
This is the newest of two Keg locations in Regina. It’s a brand new building and the size feels somewhat smaller (and not quite as nice inside) compared to the south location. The patio is more spacious though, set up nicely with heat lamps. The menu is, of course, exactly the same as at the other location but the service is much, much slower (in fact, at least during one of my visits, it took about 2 hours for our food to come while the restaurant was mostly empty). Other than the slow, disappointing service, this is a fine place to go for low carb eating.
