This place is a go-to. The food is top notch! The atmosphere isn't very thoughtful, as it's kind of a large empty-ish room, but the food is worth it!…

So we popped in for supper a few days ago. Had to really contemplate what to say. As soon as we walked in we were a little surprised to see only 1 person in the establishment. We weren’t sure if we were to seat ourselves or wait to be seated. A woman/ server approached us but said nothing until I asked if we seat ourselves. It was awkward. She didn’t really say much but as we walked she motioned to a table. We sat elsewhere as the other table was in the middle of the room.We sat down and instead of saying anything to us she scurried off for about 5 minutes. When she came back water was poured but disappeared again without taking our drink order. When she came back again she handed us menus but again no drink order taken. A few minutes later came back to take our food order. Sheesh what a production that was! I ordered samosas. She told me there’s 2. Yes, yes I know there is! The menu says so. I also ordered the gol Gupta. These were appies. For mains Ordered the lamb curry. She said chicken, lamb and goat. Yes I know! I again said lamb. Again she repeated Chicken, goat and lamb. By this time I’m getting really frustrated. Again I said lamb. Butter Chicken there was no issue ordering. We then had to order rice.. sheesh. I asked for basmati rice. She then told me basmati, jeera and saffron. I said basmati.. you now know the routine. For bread we had garlic naan. Food came out steady. No complaints there. The lamb was really good. Butter Chicken ok not the best I’ve had. Samosas were huge! They were ok but not as good as other reviewers have said. Oh when we were almost done eating finally we were asked if we’d like drinks. We declined. $2.44 for cans of pop.Overall.. I had higher hopes. I would not come back by choice.
I visited this place few months back and I would suggest this is one of the authentic place for indian food. In fact I would recommend this place over other places in Saskatoon. Hope they continue their taste and authenticity.
Best Saskatoon Indian Food! Period. For so long I have waited for a good Indian place in Saskatoon and my prayers have been answered. The food is so fresh and authentic you would think that you are in downtown Mumbai. We tried 7 different items and every single one was delicious. If you are looking for an awesome Indian place then look no further.
Angeethi has the best samosas in Saskatoon! Food is well priced and they often have some sort of deal available. Staff are friendly and attentive. Atmosphere was a bit lacking when I was there.
Great food! I love this restaurant – real Indian food!!! and good prices. Full flavor and good customer service. It’s so close downtown, my favorite in town by far!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Came here with a friend and ordered Pakoras and butter paneer. Both were hot and fresh and very tasty. I like the fact that everything is made fresh and not just in a buffet. I will for sure be back and can’t wait to try some more stuff off the menu.
Best Indian food in Saskatoon, so far! I’m forever searching for great Indian food (it never hurts to have different places to go, right?) so I was very happy when an acquaintance recommended Angeethi to me a few weeks ago. We usually take out, but the restaurant is very spacious and service was friendly when we visited the first time. The food doesn’t disappoint, it is very tasty! On a personal note, I wish the chicken chunks (butter chicken, chicken korma) were cut a bit smaller, but that’s not gorma) were cut a bit smaller, but that’s not going to stop me from ordering them! Palak paneer is also a great choice.
