Have eaten here on two separate occasions. Blue cheese burger special with Pico fries. Very very tasty! Friend had a melt of some sort and enjoyed it. Not a huge burger but it fills you up. Second time had the chicken strips. They were ok but probably won’t order again, partner had the rink burger and loved it. Try the Pico fries way better than regular fries. Beer was local and cold. If your going here get yourself a burger that’s what they are awesome at!Had same server on both occasions. Long haired art/math student. Very friendly and great service. Although it wasn’t very busy either night (Wednesday and Saturday). I hope this place lasts. This location seems doomed but if any place will survive it’ll be this one.
Overall I left Cohen’s a little disappointed. Mostly as I came in with high expectations due to this new place being recommended by a friend. There were five of us dining and the results were mixed. Some of the dishes were excellent but others were below average and a little blah. The service in general was slow. In general they seemed to be lacking a staff member or two. The open kitchen was a cool feature, but does allow you to see flaws. Some of our meals sat for 10 minutes while the others were being prepared. The atmosphere is quite nice with the large windows on the busy street. The Beer selection was limited for being a Beer Republic. The menu was somewhat limited as well. I was not overly impressed,, but I would probably give them another chance to see if I just hit them on an off night.
