The food here is extremely greasy and left us feeling sick before the meal had ended. The waitress did not speak English, and each time we pointed to an item she would say no and point out something else. Have no idea what exactly we ate but it is not something I want to repeat again. The potato pancakes lacked flavor, the noodles were greasy with a decent soy sauce taste, the spicy chicken was not spicy and was mostly fat, the buns lacked flavor, and the only drink served is Coke.I don’t know how this restaurant got positive reviews…but I have to assume it is based on the opinions of people how have not ventured outside the province of Saskatchewan for food. I’m all for non-chain restaurants, but in this instance I would make an exception.
Dumplings are the best. And previous reviews are so right…I’ve never felt so uncomfortable with the cold atmosphere. I’m almost sorry to come there as a customer with the limited speaking Asian lady. And she wore her winter coat…lol. I think I’ll do take out next time but dumplings were fantastic
This place is great, we go whenever we get the chance. Dumplings and fried pork&eggplant are my favourites! If you can stand the decor and location, definitely try it out, the foods worth it!
Brutal Lunch Service I or…. Brutal Lunch ServiceI ordered take out at 11:50 today when there were zero people in the restaurant. At 12:25 I am still waiting for food. I can’t imagine how long it would take had there been other customers. The dumplings are very good, but don’t bother going here for a business lunch unless you’re awash in time.
Try #31. 31 is my favorite. Add dumplings if you are really hungry. Fantastic food and I personally love the atmosphere.
The most authentic meals in saskatoon. Dumplings are the best you will taste and the noodles are perfect. The sliced fried pancake and egg is the noodle dish you want. Server/owner dosnt speek much english but will offer order sugestions if you ask. The dumplings come in plates of 20 and are usually of mixed varieties. My favorite place to eat in town.
Mbecks. THE GOOD: Food was amazing and unique, felt very authentic. Authentic to the point were the server couldn’t speak English. THE BAD: The inside of the restaurant is sad looking. Its basically an empty room with cheap tables and cheap chairs. With that said the food by far makes up for the atmosphere inside.
