Fantastic! From the cozy ambience to the delicious food. We were a large group and decided to order different items so we could all enjoy a bit of as much as we could. Mediterranean platter, burrito bowl, like bowl, bison chorizo tacos, and BBQ chicken pizza were definitely favourites. They were healthy portions for a fair price.For dessert we ordered carrot cake (I didn’t care for it, too dense), raspberry cheesecake, vanilla creme brulee (delicious!), and goat cheese brownie with home made chocolate icecream. I’ve never had a better brownie and ice cream in my life! I wholeheartedly recommend Leyda’s.
Leyda’s is good. Their menu is unique and the restaurant certainly has it’s own feel to it. I have been there twice now and have come away both times thinking that the flavour was just okay and I certainly still was hungry at the end. Not great when you are paying the rather hefty bill.
Absolutely delicious, creative, beautiful, thoughtful food. Portions are quite small, so order an appy to start, or bank.on a dessert. But the food is just amazing. So fresh, i always feel so satisfied and nourished when I eat here.
Very expensive for what you get. My meal was not good at all, I didn’t eat it. The server didn’t even ask why I didn’t eat it or why I didn’t like it! Server was no where to be found for most of it and it took a very long time to get the food. So disappointed. I don’t like wasting money like that.
This is a really great spot. They have great food specials for everyone to enjoy. Wednesday mussel night was a hit. The 1lb mussels had so much flavour and the chickpeas added more protein to the dish. The homemade bread was filling, tasty and the best to soak up all the mussel broth. The side kale salad was refreshing with the added apples and grapes. To finish off the night with a homemade vegan chocolate espresso fudge dessert.
Went last week with my boyfriend and his family for dinner, we chose Leydas because as a celiac my options are usually limited. And oh my Lanta was I ever in heaven. We tried several appies (gf crispy calamari?!?!!), and each had a main. I didnt have to worry about my dietary restrictions, and everyone was impressed that they could also enjoy a gf meal. We really loved all the food (my favorite being the fish entree, and calamari app), atmosphere was lovely, and our waitress was patient and kind. After an accident, the staff were quick to respond, and made all the right steps to recover.I can’t wait to go back and try more!
I was excited to experience tastey vegetarian food. But this place made vegetarian food live up to the ‘blah’ stereotype. Had the sweet potato and vege pave. Disappointed that it was almost all regular white potato. White sauce on top was flavourless. Had calamari appetizer that had flavourless sauce and was heavily breaded. Nice atmosphere. Good service.
