Glad to have finally made it here. Firstly, the restaurant is very clean and the decor is simple, but nice. I had the Dolsot bibimbop. The dish was very hot (temperature-wise), but quite tasty, particularly the sauce that went with it. Many of our companions found the dishes too spicy, my partner and I did not, but if you are spice-sensitive this might not be the spot for you.
Wow top quality food!! So happy with this place I cant believe this hidden gem has been open for 8 years and I have only just discovered it. Incredible flavors and wonderful presentation. Thank you!!
The food was great the first time I went to Seoul. I had the Jeyuk bokkeum (stir fried pork). It tasted great. Full flavour. A little too spicy for my liking but not a big deal. Huge plate filled with meat and a small serving of rice. I’m not a huge fan of the side dishes but each to their own.I went there tonight, looking forward to trying their dolsot bibimbap dish, but I was quite disappointed. The purpose of the rice being in the stone bowl is to form a crispy layer of rice on the bottom. That was the only reason I ordered the dish. When I got my food, the stone bowl wasn’t that hot (neither was the food) and the dish never formed the crispy bottom. Kinda defeats the purpose of the bowl. The bibimbap was pretty bland so I took some of the sauce from the boneless wings and added it to my rice (which improved the dish). The boneless wings were really good though.I would probably try Seoul again but I wouldn’t recommend bibimbap. For the price you pay, you get nice large servings of food.
