The underground cafe has a great variety of drinks, amazing soup and tasty sandwiches. I have always been impressed by the food. Love the McCartney sandwich which is like a caprese salad in panini form. The features are great as well. Check out the underground cafe today!
I’ve attended several shows here, nice space, but I’ve never eaten before. I tried the Frank Black drink (coke and iced coffee) and didn’t like it at all…it was a gamble. Also had a turkey panini, which was pretty good and a tasty chocolate chip cookie. Gin and tonics were decently strong. Guessing that trying other things on the menu might up my rating.
Best coffee creations in town, good food, and a great atmosphere for meeting up with people or for studying in peace. Beautiful summer patio, and great decor within. Local art displayed to enjoy or buy. Weekly live music shows in the evening, and large involvement in the Riversdale community!
Tried this place today and I was very pleased. I had a cinnamon latte that was very tasty and my bordered had a chia latte which he also really enjoyed. We ordered a breakfast sandwich and waffle and both tasted amazing. I will for sure be back.
Deadly room… my preference is the church pews by the fishtank. Although I’m tempted to explore, I tend to always buy the Lennon (delicious veggie sammich for those with a weakness for feta) when ordering food because it’s amazing, especially with a salad. However, the coconut curry soup was fabulous when I had it as well. I would die a happy man if the Jack White (white hot chocolate) and Froot Loops squares would return to the menu. Until then, I live on in hopeful expectancy.
If it’s my turn to choose, it’s Underground 100% of the time. Best espresso in the city. Delicious paninis. Perfect salad. Soup. Love the Frank Black coke/iced coffee. Best patio area. Cool staff.Thank you, Underground Caf.
I walked in at 3:30 in the afternoon on a Sunday. I was the only costumer waiting at the counter. 4 employees behind the counter, one was doing paper work, the other three were chatting and completely ignoring me. I finally get someone’s attention so I could order a sandwich, he tells me the kitchen is closed… Their website says they’re open till 6, yet they closed the kitchen at 3:30… Apparently they always close the kitchen 1 1/2 hrs before they close. And they close at 5 on Sundays, not 6, as indicated on their website.
