Still waiting for my glass of water. The food was okay, nothing special. Seems to have gone downhill since we were here last. Server did alright but service was a tad slow. They did however let us bring our own gluten free dessert and didn’t fuss about bringing new plates to eat it.
The rib sampler platter was awesome. The ribs came in different sauces. Comparing with Montana’s, I prefer Tony Roma’s with less sweetness. The sourness of the BBQ sauce can help to reduce the greasy feeling and increase the appetite. However if the sauce is too sweet, it will be very cloy. The portion was a little bit smaller than Montana’s.
Pleasantly surprised. We found the service very good. I ordered the beef tenderloin salad which I enjoyed. It was nice to have a low- carb main course salad as an option on the menu.
Disappointed to say the least. A friend of ours ordered a Prime Rib medium rare. When it arrivedit was curled up like a old baseball glove. When the managercame out my friend said none of us had ever had a PrimeRib that was grilled. The manager (she) went on to say she hadnever heard of Prime Rib done otherwise. This could be part of the problem. The young lady serving usdid a good job but really had nothing to work with.We weren’t charged for the meal, she (manager) knew what it was worth.
Dirty plates. Just went to TR’s. Plates are were not clean , wine glass had a white dishwasher ring in the bottom and all the plates had a greasy film. When I pointed out plates I was told it was from water drying. I’ve eaten here many times and also other restaurants enough to know what a clean plate is supposed to look like.
Disgusting. Take a good look at the silverware, plates n glasses before you eat. We sent back 3 forks n 2 butterknives because there was food still on them from the last meal. The plates were horrible, nibbly plates appeared to not have been washed. Dinner plates came with greasey fingerprints and what appeared to be dirty water spots.
The food is OK. The service, not so much. I’m not sure if they’re understaffed, but there just doesn’t seem to be a priority placed on looking after customers. On my last (ever) visit, me and the family waited 5 minutes at the door. We weren’t approached by a hostess at all, though the place was only half occupied. We ended up leaving.
