Rock Creek has a very nice atmosphere and is a great place to sit and chat with friends over a glass of wine or a pint. I’ve had their steak which was pretty good. Their seafood chowder is very tasty. The last time I was there, I had the nachos which were disappointing. The chips were too crunchy and I asked it to be layered (which I paid extra) which did not happen. All the toppings and cheese were mostly on the top. Always friendly and fast service. I will be back but not for the nachos.
This place has gotten so much worse from when it first opened. Went last night and not only was the service awful the food literally made me ill.The waitress would not even acknowledge the fact that I was there. She would ask the two men I was with if they wanted another drink or water or talk to them as she went by, it was honestly like I was not there. I know most waitresses tips typically come from men, and this is probably exactly why.Then the food came, I got the fish tacos, what they were was a fish stick broken in half and put into a soft taco shell with canned pineapple. It tasted awful and I honestly had stomach pain all through the night from them. I had soup as my side which was good though.The waitress also neglected to put the right price on the bill when it came out, as the flatbread pizzas were on special and she put full price.I will not be returning.
Spouse and I came for lunch. We decided on lounge. Both of us chose burgers. Zeke. Burgers were very good. Came out nice and hot. Its across town from me but would go back.
The service was ok but the jambalaya was made mainly of tomato paste. The burger was good and served with a small salad. Not worth 17 dollars We will not be back.
Honestly this place has gone down hill. I went here for breakfast and supper recently. Both times were extremely lackluster. My seafood smelled fishy and I just prayed to God that I wouldn’t get sick from eating it. My breakfast burrito was so salty I had to drink so much water, that my waitress didn’t fill up. If you were forced to go here I’d say stick with a sandwich or burger. But who knows if those are even palatable anymore.
Ordered from Skip the Dishes. Food was well-packaged. Caesar salad was very good. My partner enjoyed the chicken fingers. I had the penne with blackened chicken and enjoyed it thoroughly. As far as takeout food goes, we were pleasantly surprised.
Had a date night with my husband and was pleasantly surprised. We had good service. Both ordered peppercorn steak medium. Came exactly as ordered. The shrimp and mushrooms on the side were delicious. Ended with the creme brle cheesecake – so yummy! It was busy but we had a great night.
