My entire family has been going to Venice House for as long as I remember. The pizza is the best in the city! We always order a #14. This is the only place for pizza!
This is only a review for the take out pizza. GREAT pizza. This is the classic thick toppings, extra cheese, Greek small town family restaurant pizza. It is more expensive, but is filling and more than worth it. I will order again.
Ordered delivery, knowing it wasn’t going to be cheap. The pizza was superb, as expected. The dry ribs and Caesar salad were ok, but I feel the time in the styrofoam container didn’t help the quality, not really their fault. Will drop in for another pie soon.
This is one of those restaurants that I always like to visit when I’m in town. My family and I love the pizza and salad combinations from here, we have tried a variety of kinds but our favourites will always be the Venice special or the Ham, Bacon and Mushroom. Both the sauce and cheese on the pizza are to die for and they always cook it just right!
Highly recommend ordering pizza at the Venice House. It is made from scratch and, in my opinion, one of the best traditional pizzas in town. The rest of the menu is decent, the ribs and caesar salad is another favourite.
Food was quite good, though not mind-blowing. Something about Pasta that makes me always question whether I could just make the same thing at home. I had the mushroom and chicken fettuccine, which was very good. Partner had the Mediterranean pizza, which he enjoyed thoroughly. Atmosphere isn’t great and service was average, had to ask for napkins and silverware even after our food arrived.
The food here is pretty good. It’s also consistent in that if you like how a particular dish tastes, it will taste like that at lunch or supper from month to month. We had baked spaghetti and the chicken souvlaki. Both were pretty good. It is a bit pricey for what you get.
