About
Restaurant Parque AntumalalA Family Tradition Davita, my grandmother, began preparing recipes that she brought from her birthplace, Prague, in 1945. Together with her daughter Catalina, they baked kuchens and apple pies for tea time, quickly turning the Lake Caf Antumalal into the favorite meeting place for Pucn visitors. In 1950, when the hotel opened, Catalina created a daily menu, alternating European recipes with new ones learnt here in Chile. The specialty was trout that the clients fished from the rivers. Until 1990 wood was the source of the heat for cooking, and electricity was also used, generated by the water turbine in the hotel park. Today the Restaurant has a renovated, modern kitchen, and a varied menu, that is the result of the fusion of Central European tradition and original Southern Chile flavors. Using the best ingredients from the area, many of which are cultivated in our own vegetable garden, we seek to surprise you with new flavors, and to preserve the family tradition with the third generation of the Pollak family now working for you. We invite you to enjoy the flavors and surprising views, and to share with us our love for this beautiful place. Your comments in our visitors book will always be welcome; helping us to continue to improve day by day.
