In addition, we offer during the afternoons the traditional English Tea ceremony with all the trimmings.What means TOROMIRO?Toromiro (Toromiro de Sophora) is a unique tree in the world, endemic to Easter Island or Rapa Nui, located in the pacific basin. This unique tree was practically extinct during the first half of the 17th century on Easter Island because of indiscriminate cutting. According to the local tradition the first inhabitants of Easter Island used the wood to carve the speaking tablets, with the same name Toromiro, where the scriptures and writings of this ancient race was recorded. Till our days, it has not been possible to decipher the signs and translate them. Today, a few examples of the tree Toromiro survive in the Royal Botanic Garden of London, the Botanic Garden in Goteborg, Germany, and an effort is made to multiply its existence in the Botanic Garden in Vina del Mar, Chile. And off course, we do have one in our restaurant.
