About
Altamira Brewery is located at the heart of Valparaiso (World's Heritage Site) where the first Chilean brewery was founded, back in 1825. Following the brewing tradition of the European immigrants, we continue to produce beers using the same methods of the first brewmasters to satisfy passionate beer lovers. To experiment the magic behind each of our beers, visit our brewery where we offer all our beers perfectly paired with gourmet food, made from local premium products. We also have an historic hall where we exhibit the history of the first brewmasters. We offer tours to our brewery and closed events for groups. Enjoy live Jazz every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday starting at 8:30pm.Details

Disappointing burger. The fries were very nice, but the meal was let down by the meat itself, which was disgusting. It tasted like one of those gross frozen burgers and looked processed when cut into it (see photo). Really not OK, especially for over $7000.
This is the first brew pub in ValparaÃso, dating back to the 1800s. Live jazz music was great. Tried a flight of 5 beers – ok but nothing great if you’re into craft beer. They had a decent Belgian strong beer. Steak tartare was good.
We had beer – of course – with steak and chips Chilean style. All excellent including the service. The atmosphere is friendly and pretty cool.
The homemade beers are probably some of the best of Southamerica. It’s not weird to find them in another bars or restaurants. Recommended to beer lovers.
