About
One of the few places in Beijing serving Turkish cuisine, Ottoman refrains from going down the road of over-the-top Turkish decoration and sports just the odd artefact. Food runs the gamut of Turkish cuisine. Lentil soup with a faint hint of mint is warming and hearty; a squeeze of lemon further enhances the flavour. Excellent appetisers include diced peppers and pickled chillies topped with yogurt; and diced tomatoes, potatoes and aubergine. As youd expect from a Turkish restaurant, grilled meat is a speciality. A mixed grill of baby lamb chops, with spicy minced beef patties and chicken patties shows off grill skills to perfection, and is accompanied by a hot green pepper and sliced tomatoes.
