About
Welcome to the only authentic Cajun and creole restaurant in Shenzhen. We are the only Cajun/creole restaurant owned and operated by natives of New Orleans in all of China. What is Cajun Cuisine? Cajun cuisine was created by French people who moved to the Acadiana region of Louisiana, USA during the 1700s. Lacking the ingredients to make traditional French cuisine, they created dishes with the local seafood and spicy ingredients available in the region. The result is French-American food that a lot of local Chinese people will say reminds them of Hunan or Sichuan dishes fused together with French food. We also serve a number of creole dishes. An example of creole is Jambalaya. Louisiana Creole cuisine is a style of cooking originating in Louisiana, United States which blends French, Spanish, West African, Amerindian, German, Italian and Irish influences, as well as influences from the general cuisine of the Southern United States. New Orleans is also the birthplace of jazz music - and the birthplace of Louis Armstrong who remains today the most influential figure in jazz music. Nicknamed The Ambassador of Jazz he helped spread jazz music across the world. Hence, we have dedicated the VIP room to Louis Armstrong's memory where you will hear his music and music by other jazz legends.
