About
Shanghai was opened as a port in the prime time of the tea trade in 19th century. A fast sailing ship - a tea clipper - was loaded in the bund and sailed out to deliver the first tea to London faster than any other ships for its honor - an unofficial race called 'Tea Race'. The historical building the British trading company left in Shanghai as it made an advance into the city is now the Bund Tea Company's Tea Salon. Enjoy the best quality tea with excellent flavors and aromas, as well as sweets and sandwiches in this historical place steeped in the history of tea. The afternoon tea set with eight kinds of sweets is also a popular menu here. In the shop beside the salon, we have teas with the 'Tea Clipper' logos available that are ideal gift items.
