Porcellino Salumeria Italiana is a new concept by restaurateur Eduardo Vargas. Porcellino is Eduardo's version of Italian homemade food that he grew up with his grandmother (nonna) cooking. Featuring a nice selection of Italian cold cuts & cheeses ( that is called salumeria, a house specialized in salami ) risottos with organic vegetables & acquerello rice ( the best rice for pasta in Italy ), artisanal and no very common to find style pastas , gourmet pizzas with tomato base and white pizzas, family style dishes like chicken allacacciatora, porchetta sandwich with salsa verde & many homemade antipasti like lardo-wrapped prawns with rosemary lentils, Sicilian grilled octopus with potato, celery & olives & Vargas family meatballs al forno. The main idea of this restaurant is quality ingredients cooked in a classic way without shortcuts, slow cooking and great flavors. Most of the products are the best products we could find in China , like sanmarsano tomatoes, the rice, the pasta , the olive oil, the mozzarella, the cold cuts .. All are imported, great quality that makes the food taste authentic and delicious.
