Specializing in Shanghai local cuisine, Ye Olde Station Restaurant is located in a building constructed in 1926 which is the only remaining main part of the original building of the Virgin Mary Convent. The current collections on display in the restaurant include old Shanghai antiques in the 1920s and 1930s, along with the two historically significant train carriages, one courtesy coach manufactured by German Hanover Train Manufacturer in 1899, which was for royal use by Empress Dowager Cixi, and the other was manufactured by Russian Yekaterinburg Coach Manufacturing Company, and once served for Soong Ching-ling, or Madame Sun Yat-sen.
