As far as I know, there are 2 Brotzeit in Shanghai.If you miss authentic German food/beer this place is a good option for you.From my point of view, the food tastes better than Paulaner and the prices are a bit more reasonable.

I am not a big specialist of German food, but the taste was good, service efficient, and waiters friendly.
Very traditional and delicious German food, accompanied with friendly service, perhaps my 2-years-old daughter was so cute, the waitresses are passionate enough to look after her and my table.My favorite family meal place in Shanghai.
But since you are in China and looking for something different, it will do. Had the pot roast, spatzel and a Hefeweizen. It was a good meal and cheaper than eating at the motel.
