Robatayaki is a traditional cooking style of Japanese Fisherman which origins from sea shore side in Sendai. "Takumi" means"Masterpiece", the chef with excellent cooking skills. In 2011, first Takumi outlet settled in Shanghai ifc shopping mall. Adhering to the traditional Robatayaki culture, our Chefs insist on selection of fresh ingredients and using high quality charcoal called"Binch-tan". Customers who are escorted to the Robata Counter, where displays fresh seafood and vegetables, pointing out what they want, waiting with excitement the chefs to serve directly the grilled dishes by wooden paddle. Only natural sea salt is used in the process of cooking to keep the authentic flavor. The healthy concept is much advocated in Takumi.
