Having proven its success with the first location across from the U.S. Consulate, The Beer Nest opened a second location, a bar & restaurant, at the end of August 2014. In comparison The Beer Nest II located within Tongzilins Renaissance complex is focused on craft draft beers and Western food. They have approximately 12 beers on tap, of which at least are 8 locally brewed craft beers including; rotating special brews like Sichuan Ale, Chili Stout, Black IPA and many more. At The Beer Nest II the food is fresh, interesting and high quality. Theyve sourced the best of local produce to puts together great food with a modern twist which highly complements the craft beer. Best sellers include the home-made burgers, crunchy chicken fingers, honey glazed spicy pork ribs and Belgian ale beef stew. Theres ample seating inside and out, a pool table, foosball and darts. Daily there are food and drink promotions such as; happy hour from 12-8pm where all Chengdu craft beers are offered for 30 RMB, Mussels Wednesdays or Sunday Pizza Special. What makes it special in Chengdu is that some craft beers are brewed on premises. If you catch them on the right day, you can see them brewing the mouth-watering beer.
