After our boat ride we enjoyed lunch at the Restaurant Hotel de Campo. We were serenaded by a local musician on his Conga drum as we ate. The food was local and traditional to Costa Rico.
The restaurant has a very nice setting with a moat and gar fish around the outer edge – we had some biting flies that may have come from the moat – they were fewer away from the water. Food was very good and priced reasonably
The restaurant isn´t exactly cheap, but the food (Italian style) is very good and freshly made. The blinking lights of the decoration are slightly annoying
We stayed at the hotel and had several meals here. We were never disappointed! They have great local cuisine, but also serve Italian dishes that are delicious, as well.
