Who would have thought that this intimate hideaway, not on the beach, but in a courtyard behind the Playa Junquillal Welcome Center would offer some of the freshest food we have tasted during our travels through Costa Rica. The new owner, Garrett is not only a friendly outgoing ex-pat from California, but he is a darn good chef as well. Everything is made from scratch, at the time of ordering, using only local ingredients and freshly caught seafood. He offers a simple well thought out menu, as well as "Happy Hour" specials. The Margaritas are hand squeezed with local limes,lemons and oranges.Details

If you want to have a great dinner and have fun with your friends, amigos bar and grill is perfect!!!!.Seems like everyone there is enjoying their meals and having a good time.I ate there several times and I always had a good experience!!!

The Patacones are amazing. It is a simple dish, but they nailed it. We also enjoyed the Pina colada, shrimp rice and fish tacos. Definitely worth a visit if you are staying in the area.
Fair pricing and great food! We ate a few nights while staying at the condos there and everything we got was great. Prices are on par with casual dining in the US.
