Go through a red door in the middle of San Jose and find a hidden gem. Good music, good wine, good food, and good prices! Sexy, dark and distinguished ambiance off the beaten path.
Buchón is the coziest spot in San José, with delicious food and an intimate atmosphere that makes you not want to leave. Great for wine tasting too! Bonus points: you can buy whatever wine you drink at their little shop inside.
We ate at this wonderful restaurant 3 days ago and while the setting is of a simple but sophisticated San Jose restaurant, (although in a house like ambiance) the food is beautifully prepared seemed of a carribean character. Wonderful mushrooms and savory sauces. Highly recommended.
